West African Drum Class, All Levels Welcome!
The Djembe is a West African drum that has become very popular at the drum circles. In this class, you will learn basic skills, how to find your place in the rhythm, some easy to remember patterns as well as African polyrhythms that will enhance your experience drumming with a group. Drumming is a great stress reliever. It also boosts your immune system, keeps your brain sharp, and may cause you to smile.

If you do not have a djembe I would suggest one with at least a 12 inch head, and 21-24 inches tall. Those from Africa are typically goat skin and rope tuned, however you can also find synthetic heads that are more lightweight and won't be affected by humidity.
